![]() My personal experience with "dumb" knobs aka normal potentiometers with end stops vs rotary controllers is that the dumb ones just feel better when playing synths. Great concept but totally misses the mark with iteration 1. There are some plugins with almost 20 pages of kontrol parameters and we're supposed to remember what page has what for a given instrument?! 20 pages of scrolling? They could of at least given us a numeric keypad if I wanted to go to page thirteen 1-3 enter. Kore is a better solution and that is discontinued. The build quality appears to be hit or miss but for the price it's hard to beat.Īnyone using one of these in Reaper for softies? I like the concept of the new native instruments kontrol S keyboards and plug-in mapping but seriously 8 knobs with no screen? You have to be kidding me. The bcr2000 has a lot of knobs with led rings which is nice. It's still somewhat useful but I need a better solution. I currently have an Akai mpk88 which has faders and knobs but they are "dumb" in that there is no visual feedback for plug-in parameters and state. I have been contemplating a Behringer bcr2000 for soft synths and other instruments for a while. ![]()
